Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

You will be met by our representative and transfer to hotel and a short brief about the trekking after refreshment.
KATHMANDU DURBAR SQUARE: Durbar Square, one of the old capitals of the Kathmandu valley, is a synthesis of Hindu and Buddhist temples, stupas and statues, and is often the site of festivals, marriages and other ceremonies.

Day 2: Sight seeing in Kathmandu

Today we explore the Kathmandu valley.
SWOYAMBBHUNATH: Climb the many steps to Swayambhunath (the monkey temple) with its commanding views of Kathmandu, its whitewashed stupas and its unique synthesis of Buddhism and Hinduism.

PASHUPATINATH: Listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, Pashupatinath Temple is the holiest shrine for the Hindu devotees all over the world. Specially dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva, it attracts thousands of pilgrims and tourists every single year. The tourists visiting Pashupatinath can witness the open cremation ceremony, which will be a new experience for every one visiting the site. One can meet Sadhus (ascetic yogis) in every nook and corners of the temple area. Majority of sadhus are very tourist friendly and eager to pose for the photos with foreigners, but it is not free of charge.

BOUDHANATH: The striking Buddha eyes of Boudhanath Stupa watch over a lively and colorful Tibetan community and attract pilgrims from all over the Himalayan Buddhist realm. In the midst of traditional gompas, and hung with long strings of multi-colored prayer flags, Boudhanath attracts Sherpas, Tibetans and tourists alike for daily circumambulations (koras) of the stupa.


Day 3: Fly to Nepalgunj (450m), 40min

An approximate flight duration of one hour, group will be landed at Nepalganj airport. After group will be transferred at hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4: Fly Nepalgunj to Simikot (2950m) then trek to Majgaun

Landing at Simikot airport after 50 minutes flight from Nepalganj trek starts hiking towards at an elevation of 3800m after crossing this pass trail descends gradually until reaching at Majgaon also locally known as Tuling 2,700m. The walking span will be approximately 4/5 hours that will allow the chances of few greenaries of wheat and barley fields which is the major crops of this region. It depends upon the physical condition of the guests if they realize for any rest during these days the itinerary is flexible.

Day 5: Trek Majgaon to Danda Kermi (2670m)

The trail follows through Dharapani after breakfast and this day would be little tough. Elsewhere that would be decided by the cook lunch will be served as sometimes it would not be at the fixed place due to unavailability of water on the route. As indicated above after 6/7hrs walking we will reach at the second night camping Danda Kermi.

Day 6: Trek Danda Kermi to Yalbang Chaur (3020m)

Climbing over a ridge we will walk through a valley having potato and wheat fields, besides this pine forest, many cairns would be other attractions at an approximate height of 2,990m. would be really wonderful experiences of the day. Then route allows trekkers alleviation by going down to the bank of the Chumsa Khola. After crossing this river no choice we should start climbing up with a very steep and rocky escarpment and this day we can say a day several of ups and downs. Ultimately we will descend to the bank of Karnali River, and after short walk we will reach at Yalbang Chaur.

Day 7: Trek Yalbang Chaur to Tumkok Khola (3120m)

This day we shall be going little bit higher altitude of 2,890m.some villages on the route after passing a main village named Yangar; we go down walking until the trail meets a small unknown river various upwards and downwards should be met with until reaching another camping spot Tumkot Khola.

Day 8: Trek Tumkot Khola to Yari (3550m)

Another river called Bumachiya Khola comes along the route then another steep that is situated at the height of 3,310m, some mustard fields could be seen after walking through some forests we will reach at a great Jhyakthang Chu Valley stretching out before Yari. This day ends at Yari where camp will be set at the surrounding of Yari an ultimate Police Station is located here for the security of the trekkers.

Day 9: Trek Yari to Sher (3858m) then drive to PURANG (3770m)

This day’s experience will be different day to a scenery of flat valleys on the way that leads towards Nara Lagna Pass 4580m with a gradual ascending. Then immediately route descends to Ranipuwa which is we can say or consider a real trek of the day until the Humla Karnali River. The continue to walk that will last reaching Hilsa where a stone pillar signifying Nepal/Tibet border then after a short walk we will reach at Sher. There our Tibetan guide & driver will receive you & then drive to Purang. On the way we will see Kocher Monstery where the prominent famous Sakya Monastery is located there was built in the 6th century. After this we will proceed our drive to Taklakot that takes around 1 and half hour to reach locally Tibetans call this place Purang a place of trading center. A expanding market is situated in the proximity of Karnali River bridge almost all shops are made of mud walls and white canvas roofs. Tibetan wool trade is another famous business of this place and another extension of the sightseeing will be at the 2,890m remains of Simbling Gompa is considered as the biggest monastery.

Day 10: Drive Purang to Lake Manasarover (4560m)

Day starts by driving towards the Lake Mansarovar leaving the route of Manay Tibetan styled settlements, Gurla La pass 4,590m. we also can see other lakes including a big holy lake of Tibet. This night’s camp will be set at a wonderful base of the Chiu Gompa.

Day 11: Lake Mansarovar to Darchen (4560 M), 30 KM

Darchen is about 30 Km away from our camping site on the north direction. This is the main gate away for the Kailash pilgrims. Here we will arrange yak or ponies for Kailash Circuit trek.

Day 12: Kailash circuit day 1: Darchen- Diraphuk: KORA begins

This trek will take about 6 hours of hiking and climbing. We will head west in clockwise direction and after few kilometers the trial climbs up to cairn at 4730m, from where Mt. Kailash comes to view. En route we will visit Tarboche, where annual flagpole raising ceremony takes place in Saga Dawa.

Day 13: Kailash circuit day 2: Dhiraphuk- Zutrulphuk

Today we will cross Dolma La pass at the height of 5630 m and frozen Lake of Gouri Kunda at 5608 m. This is the lake where Hindus worship and immerse themselves in icy water of the lake.

Day 14: Kailash circuit day 3: The final day of Parikrama

The final day of parikrama is an easy 2-3 hours of walk down to where the river emerges on to the Barga plain. Today we will complete the 3 days Kailash circuit and finally our kora end up at Darchen, then drive to Tirthapuri to have a rest. 85 Kms.

Day 15: Drive to Tsada (Guge Kingdom)

Northwest from Trithapuri, in the middle of the canyon erosion landscape of the Sutlej River, lie the impressive ruins of Toling and Tsaparang – flourishing centers of the former Kingdom Guge. Tsaparang, the oldest center of Guge Kingdom. A group of four temples surround the lower part of the fortress walls, one fifth of which lie above the remains of the city, the former Summer Palace of the kings. The coffered ceilings and carved bars of the temples are decorated in different designs. Parts of murals are well-preserved and complicatedly decorated, disappeared in the middle of 17 Century.
The Toling monastery, founded by Richen zangpo in the 10th century, was once Ngari’s most important monastic complex. It was due to the influence Richen Zangpo that Toling became the main religious centre of Guge kingdom after inviting of the great indian master ATISHA. The kings of GUGE replaced the city as a political centre of power by establishing capital slightly closer to the Indo-tibetan trade routes. But the monastery is still important cultural heritage of Ngari.

Day 16: Drive Tsada to Saga (75kms)


Day 17: Saga to Kerung (170kms)

Drive to Kerung border.

Day 18: Kerung to Kathmandu

After clearing immigration, our Nepali driver will be waiting for your reception. He will then bring you to Kathmandu by private vehicle. Check in to hotel.

Day 19: Kathmandu Sightseeing

Early in the morning, you could enjoy optional mountain flight tours to mount Everest. In the afternoon, we will tour to Bhaktapur Durbar Square & some other places in Kathmandu.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square: This Square is an open museum holding exciting palace, courtyards, royal bath, sculptures, pagodas, Shikhara style temples and Buddhist monastery along with exclusive architecture. In other words, this is the most beautiful Durbar you visit in your Nepal tours. Though 1934 earthquake brought bad luck to its structure, still the remaining monuments are the finest examples of the medieval excellence. Just near the square, you will visit the traditional painting School, the dying art of Nepal which is the best souvenir from Nepal.  Besides palace complex, five storied temple with most appreciated architecture, the Pottery Square, Dattatraya Square and Peacock window are some other things to see in Bhaktapur. Overnight at hotel.
